Thunderstorm on the way

Your preschooler played the game Thunderstorm on the way in class today. A fun game involving cooperation. Will you play along at home too?

Necessities:

• A dice
• Colouring pencils
• The printed game board: click below to download it!

Instruction:

'Dark clouds are moving over the jungle. It probably won't be long before the thunderstorm breaks out! Can you bring all the animals home before the thunderstorm reaches the jungle? You work together to get the animals to safety.'

Take turns rolling a die. Move one step up from the number rolled, by colouring one box in this column.

For example:

Colour the first box at Elephant, when you roll three.
If you throw six, colour one box by the cloud and the thunderstorm moves one step closer.'

Everyone helps each other!

Not everyone is equally fast.

Lion runs faster than the others.
Parrot can fly.
Monkey swings from branch to branch.
Yet they don't abandon their friends! When an animal is safely home, you can choose which friend you will help forward. Colour a box of your choice!
